WOOOO

We all need a Guardian Angel at some point in our lives, but we never know when our Guardian Angel will show up. In my case, she showed up just in the nick of time

NO CASUALITIES

If you happen to be standing at the FUBAR CROSSROAD of your life, not knowing which direction to go, you can either have a drunk driver hit you head-on at sixty miles an hour or come along with me on my journey from loser to embarking on the road to recovery. If I could do it, you can do it.

A NEW OPPORTUNITY

It took a sixty-mile-an-hour, head-on collision with a drunk driver, when I was twenty-five and waking up ten days later from a coma, massive memory loss, debilitating paralysis and excruciating pain to find myself standing at my FUBAR CROSSROAD. Fortunately, God gave me a do-over.

FUBAR and Matty B

WOOOO

The acronym, FUBAR, in the title of this memoir, was coined by Army Medics in the South Pacific during World War II. In the heat of some of the fiercest battles, medics were forced to make instantaneous decisions: Those they could save and those who were FUBAR, F***ed Up Beyond All Repair.

Today, the acronym has been changed to a more genteel Fouled Up Beyond All Repair and is part of the lexicon used by first responders, law enforcement and ER staff when referring to victims of a heart attack, severe stroke, auto accident, victims of terrorists or domestic violence and other life- threatening human tragedies.

One morning when I got up, I heard a familiar voice. It was that same voice that confronted me every morning and told me what a loser I was.

Think you are ready to face the world? Share your story with others? Tell them the baby steps they need to take to change their life?” ...
Since I finally closed the book about the loser in the mobile home, I have now opened up my new book, this is the beginning of my new story that I get to write.

‘“Don’t go around saying the world owes you a living. The world owes you nothing. It was here first.”
